1994 KAWASAKI ZX6

ZX6

This bike required a great deal of attention upon arrival. The carburetors were in need of thorough cleaning and tuning, while the engine was experiencing intermittent stalling and difficulty in starting. Additionally, a fork service was performed. Through a methodical process of elimination, we identified the primary issue: a section of cracked insulation on the ground wire of the pickup coil. It was discovered that fuel was leaking through the petcock into the carburetors, reaching the crankcase and causing oil conductivity. This led to a shorting/grounding of the pickup coil, resulting in a lack of spark. Fortunately, the replacement of the petcock and pickup coil resolved the issue effectively.
